Alan S. Oyster, age 76, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, with his family by his side.

He was born on November 16, 1948, in Alliance, to Oscar and Katherine Oyster.

Alan graduated from Marlington High School in 1966. He worked as a technician for Ohio Bell and AT&T for 42 years. Alan was on the board of directors and was president of the Board Community One Credit Union for over 35 years. He served honorably in the United States Army in Vietnam.

Alan enjoyed tending to his lawn, working outdoors and being a member of the Louisville Eagles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Oyster; daughter, Jill (Jeffrey) Donovan; son, John Oyster; step-daughter, Lisa (Jason) Bare; step-son, Michael (Amy) Konen; sister, Marilyn Christen; seven grandchildren, Lauren Price, Renata Price, Tyler Bare, Madeline Hyde, Kayla Sandwick, Bryan Konen, and Riley Konen; and four great-grandchildren, Ayden Hyde, Alivia Hyde, Elora Sandwick, and Tegan Sandwick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Oyster; and sister, Arlene Bielz.

A visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Thursday, July 31st from 12:00-2:00 p.m.
