Rita M. Penny

Rita M. Penny age 85, of Louisville, passed away at her home Monday, March 12, 2018, at 11:45 p.m.
The daughter of Frank and Vera (Vaughn) Oliver, she was born April 14, 1932 in Leetonia, Ohio.
A graduate of Leetonia High School, Rita retired from American Steel after working for 25 years. She also worked at Geiger Teeple Smith and Hahn.
Rita was a member of Turning Point Baptist Church in Limaville. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, singing, and was an avid sun worshipper.
Survivors include her children; Larry G. (Linda) Penny, Gary L. (Carla) Penny, Thomas E. Penny, Kimberly K. (John) Bergmeyer, Dianne L. (Donald) Hoover, Patricia A. (Steven) Loy, Kevin L. Penny, and Randy A. Penny; grandchildren, Jason Scott, T.J. Penny, Jeffrey Penny, Cristina Pugh, Bret Ferguson Jr., Ryan Hoover, Megan Hoover, Nicole Witham, Kayla Loy, Taylor Loy, Brittany Davis, Matthew Davis, and Madison Penny; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lenora Frederick.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her biological mother, Ellen Marie (Helt) Oliver; daughter, Tammy J. Scott; sons, Jeffrey A. Penny and Keith L. Penny; grandson, Christopher L. Penny;
granddaughters, Stephanie M. Loy and Kristen R. Penny; and brothers, Robert, Edwin, Francis, George, James, John, and Lawrence; and sisters, Mary Jane, Terone, Lenora, Theresa, Helen, and Margaret.
Services will be held at Noon Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Lanham officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until Noon Saturday.
Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to be used for their discretion.
