Leah Ann Riebold

May 5, 1933 ~ July 8, 2018 (age 85)
Leah Ann Riebold, age 85, of Alliance, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, at her home.
She was born May 5, 1933, in Dean County, West Virginia, the last remaining child of Robert and Lucy J. (Horner) Pettit.
Leah was a 1953 graduate of Alliance High School and had been employed at the former Sugar and Spice Bakery and Buckeye Village Market. She was affectionately known as the "Pie Lady."
She was a member of the Alliance Church of Christ and the Tri County Church of Christ. She cooked for the Radiant 60's Club at the Union Avenue Church of Christ.
Leah is survived by her husband, Gerald Riebold; children, Patty Pettit, Penny Hinerman-Craig (Ed Craig) and Paula Hinerman-Gonzalez; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Courtney, Jessica, Eddy, Brittany, Ramon, Anthony, Jazmyn and Alex; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Leah is preceded in death by her first husband, James Hinerman, who died in 1989; granddaughter, Heather Craig; and siblings, Helen Pettit Arkwright, Robert Pettit Jr, Ronald L. Pettit and Roger L Pettit.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor David Ray of Alliance Church of Christ officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
