John R. Hoyle

John R. Hoyle, age 86, of Alliance, passed away at 10:20 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Brookdale Senior Living.
He was born November 27, 1931, in Canton, Ohio, to John E. and Oda B. (Myers) Hoyle.
John graduated from Alliance High School and Mount Union College.
He retired as Purchasing Manager after more than forty years of service with the former B&W, a subsidiary of McDermott Industries.
John enjoyed being a member of the Alliance Elks.
Survivors include his son, John W. (Cindy) Hoyle of Carol Stream, Illinois; his daughter, Linda (Richard) Glass of Pembroke, New Hampshire; grandsons, Adam Glass of Pembroke and Steven (Samantha) Hoyle, of Aurora, Illinois; and a great-granddaughter, Piper A. Hoyle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Nancy A. (Rearick) Hoyle, whom he married December 27, 1949, and who died March 27, 2014.
A private family service will be held with interment at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
