Bernard "Bernie" J. Knepp

Bernard J. Knepp Jr., age 69, of Beloit, passed away at 4:45 p.m., Sunday, October 28, 2018, at his home.
He was born June 27, 1949, in Akron, OH, to Bernard J. Sr. and Mildred Louise (Stuteville) Knepp.
Bernie was a 1967 graduate of Marlington High School.
He was owner operator for more than 30 years of Bernie's Auto Core and was a hard worker who was loyal to his customers and his business.
Bernie enjoyed classic cars, fishing, boating and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Janet "Chirp" Knepp, whom he married, March 27, 1976; four children, Renee (Dan) Davis, Rachel (Jason) Artrip, Michael Knepp and Randy Blake; three grandchildren, Danielle (Andrew) Kelbeley, Jessica Davis and Skylar Knepp; two great-grandchildren, Mallory and Bradley; brother, Thomas Knepp; several nieces and nephews; and Kelly Scheiben, Karen Culler, Kimberly Culler and Richard Culler, whom he loved like his own children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry B. Knepp who died March 15, 2018; daughter-in-law, Nicole Knepp and nephew, Larry Knepp.
Services will be held at Noon, Friday, November 2, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Dickson officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, November 1st, at the funeral home and from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Bernie's family would like to extend a special thank you to his niece, Heather Culler, who showed Bernie much compassion and excellent bedside care during his illness.
