Albert J. "Noonie" Stanish

Albert Joel "Noonie" Stanish, age 82, of Alliance, died Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Community Care Center.
He was born February 23, 1936, in Alliance, Ohio, to Albert and Jean (Albright) Stanish.
A 1953 graduate of Alliance High School, Al was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Germany and France.
Al retired from Lordstown General Motors after 28 plus years of service. He loved to travel, was an avid golfer, and coached baseball and football.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Linda R. (Duchon) Stanish; three children, Wendy Van Camp of Alliance, Scott (Julie) Stanish of Chambersburg, PA and Todd Stanish of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; six grandchildren, Ashley (Christopher) Porter, Alex, Molly, Andrew, Tyler and Alexis Stanish; two great-grandchildren, Phoenix and Lotus Porter; and a brother, Ronald (Sheila) Stanish.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Webster.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. The service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 17, 2018, at the funeral home with The Rev. Timothy Muse officiating. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
