Randy Kent Lipely, age 58 of Alliance, passed away at 9:58 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton.
Randy was born February 20, 1959 in Alliance, Ohio to H. Bruce and Mary Ellen (Clarke) Lipely.
A 1977 graduate of Marlington High School, Randy worked as a groundskeeper at the University of Mount Union for more than 25 years.
He attended First Presbyterian Church.
Randy enjoyed motorsports and being outdoors, including hiking, hunting, and camping. He was a hopelessly devoted Browns fan and a fantasy football champion.
Randy will be loved and missed by his family, including his wife, Laurie (Packey) Lipely, who he married August 6, 1983; children, Becca (Shawn) O'Neill of Alliance, and Brenden Bruce (Allie Boschini) Lipely, currently attending the University of Mount Union; mother, Mary Ellen Lipely; siblings, Sherry Shonk, Gary (Kim) Lipely, Larry (Jeanne) Lipely, all of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Debby Lipely, of McKinney, Texas; granddaughters, Shaelyn, Ellie and Kylie O'Neill; and nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Per Randy's request, a private family celebration of life service will be held.
