Patricia M. Tullys

October 13, 1942 — August 9, 2017

Patricia Mae (Schmaeman) Tullys left Canterbury Villa August 9, 2017, after a long illness, to join her husband in the healing arms of the Lord. Patricia was born in Alliance October 13, 1942 to Elwood and Clara (Mudrick) Schmaeman, and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1960, and went on to work at The Fashion Store, and Mount Union Bank where she made lifelong friends. She married her best friend and forever love, Bruce W. Tullys, on June 19, 1965. Patricia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a past member of the Alliance Genealogical Society where she shared her love of history and family. She co-authored a book about her husband's family history. Patricia was also an artist, painting beautiful ornaments that hang on many Christmas trees across the country. Her kindness and generosity will be missed by many.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Lisa Ann, her son-in-law, Lewis DeVore, her grandchildren; Lewis IV, Cole, and Jessica DeVore; her brother-in-law, Joseph Tullys; nephew, Steven Tullys; niece, Julie Tullys; Godson, Brett (Joanna) DeVore; her dear friend, Rose Mary DeVore, and the entire DeVore family she called her own. Anyone who knew Pat, also knows she is survived by her bird, Charlie, who was a companion to her after the passing of her husband.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bruce, who passed away December 6, 2011, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Canterbury Villa for their kindness and care of Patricia, and Doctors Mkparu, Hudzik, and Shivers for always going above and beyond in their care, and treating her like family.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Alliance Firefighter's Local 480 Annual Toy Drive, or the Stark County Humane Society.
Arrangements are with Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
