David R. Slusser

David R. Slusser, 75, of Alliance, passed away at 2:45 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2018, at Alliance Community Hospital in the Community Care Center.
He was born August 29, 1942, in Alliance, Ohio, to Edward and Velma (Benjamin) Slusser.
A 1960 graduate of Alliance High School, David worked as a Tool and Die Maker during his working career.
David enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing pool and most of all playing cards with his friends.
He was a life member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge Post No. 467 and the American Legion Post No. 166, both in Alliance.
David is survived by Maxine of the home; brothers, Edward (Janet) Slusser of Sherrodsville and Keith (Emily) Slusser of Alliance; and his beloved pets, Daisy, Sable and Patches.
His parents preceded him in death.
On Thursday, May 17, 2018, calling hours will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Alliance City Cemetery following the service.
It is comforting to know David is no longer suffering. May he rest in peace!
