Alice Marie Heaslip

August 26, 1922 — November 4, 2017

Alice Marie Heaslip, age 95, of Sebring, passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017.
She was born August 26, 1922, in Canton, Ohio, to Ernest W. Reihl and Araminta E. (Heiserman) Reihl.
A 1940 graduate of Alliance High School, and graduate of Massillon State Hospital Nursing School, Mrs. Heaslip worked as a Registered Nurse for 43 years.
She was employed by Youngstown Hospital Association and Alliance City Hospital, before retiring from Babcock and Wilcox Tubular Division in 1984 after 30 years of service. After retiring, Alice worked at Lingenfelter Brill until the age of 90.
A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she had been a member of the choir, Alice was also a member of the Alliance Woman's Club and Alliance Senior Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra M. Bandy of Florida, and Linda E. (Terry) Nimon, of Alliance; granddaughters, great-grandchildren, and two nephews.
Alice was affectionately known by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as "Heepie".
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James G. Heaslip; and brothers, Arthur W. Reihl and Oscar C. Reihl.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Chaplain David Parry officiating. Friends may call the hour prior to the service.
Private interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank Copeland Oaks Assisted Living and Hospice of the Valley for the excellent care they provided for their Mother.
